Where has the time gone?

I started this blog last year as a way to document a slice of my life and have since been too busy to write about it. Where has the time gone? Has it really been a year since I first started this blog? Mmmmm I promise to be better, right after I have another cup of coffee.

Big Sky

As much as I love living in a big city, one of the things missing is wide open sky.

While I am not happy about living on our hill, the view is wonderful. Our house towers above our neighbors, I'm afraid friends and kids will fall down the stairs, the trek to the mailbox is a workout, and sometimes we scrap the bottom of the cars on the steep driveway. But, the view with it's wide open skies, beautiful sunsets and storms rolling in are awe inspiring.


In the city of BA you are living in side by side apartments where sun shinning into the home is rare.

Don't get me wrong, the city abounds with green spaces, parks and plazas.

Without a personal outdoor space a city dweller is forced to go out, unlike a suburbanite that stays in their backyard. The cities is alive with people enjoying communal space, and it is marvelous.
